Stay with us and relax in the green rolling countryside of South Devon
The Old Parsonage is a Grade II listed building with five acres of surrounding grounds, built during the 1800s by the Champernowne family, the previous owners of Dartington Hall, for the vicar of St. Barnabas Church. It is newly decorated, with care taken to retain the original features such as wooden shutters and flagstone flooring.
In this rural and tranquil setting, the chorus of birdsong welcomes you to the heart of the countryside. It is easily accessible, being 2½ miles from the A38 and 3 miles from Totnes (known as the ‘alternative’ capital of England) with local attractions including: South Brent area of Dartmoor, ideal for walking and pony trekking, 5-10 mins away; Dartington Hall with its beautiful gardens and buildings and all year round cultural events together with its own cinema in the Old Barn, 5 mins away; the well known Dartington Cider Press Centre providing creative products and Cranks Restaurant, 5 mins away; the beaches of South Hams (including Blackpool Sands, awarded the highest cleanliness standard), about 20-30 mins away. There are also very many beautiful gardens at a not too distant drive, including Heligan and Eden.
